Loan Modification Mistakes That May Cost You

Mortgage Forbearance or loan Forbearance is a temporary fix and an attempt by your lender to jump start you back on tract for making your mortgage payments! There is a temporary payment reduction and no debit forgiveness, all delinquent debits fees and penalties are ether added to the loan with a higher payment after a short term of lower payments (usually 3 months) or added to the loan with a balloon payment due after a term or as your last payment. Many of our clients have been fooled by the banks collection department to believe the Forbearance payment reduction is permanent. This is not the case and it is important not to get a Forbearance agreement and a Loan Modification mixed up, they are two very different animals and a Forbearance alone will not stop the foreclosure process.

Don’t Believe Everything your banks Representatives tell You
We hear this all the time and the DVD will explain. When you call your bank concerning your loan workout they will re-direct you to the collection department (the same department that sends you those threatening foreclosure letters). The Collection Department will tell you anything true or false to get you to make payments of any amount.
